As the biggest organ of your body, you have to take care of your skin as much as you take care of other organs in your body. However, this isn’t the case for many since they often neglect doing so. One thing that most of us should remember: our skin receives much abuse, particularly from the weather especially when winter season comes. So, you have to make sure that you have the proper skin care when this season comes around. Let us be clear on this one –you need to take care of your skin all year round, though all kinds of season can affect your skin, so you have to be sure that you’re ready for it.
During the winter season, everyone would feel lazy –of course, you would want to just stay at home and enjoy the cold weather (even if it gets through your bones!). One good thing to do every winter time is to soak yourself in a hot bath every morning just to let the chill get out of your body. Of course, wearing thicker clothes is a must. However, what are the best practices for your skin during this season? In dry weather states like California, your skin is prone to dryness, therefore you need to really moisturize. For wet weather such as New York, your skin doesn’t dry quickly, but it doesn’t mean that you won’t need to take care of it any less. Also, you have to be careful, because with some people, (especially bikers), they experience wind burns.
Winter Face Care Tips
Wrap yourself up when you’re outside
If your clothes get wet, remove them as soon as you can
Moisturize daily, apply lip balms or petroleum jelly to prevent your lips from cracking
Remove your make up before going to bed (Do this all year round. Please.)
Make sure you keep your skin hydrated by drinking water, and drink more than the usual amount of water if you’re drinking alcohol.
